Medicinal plants were an option for the prevention and treatment of human diseases for thousands of years, and they are an important source for drug development. The amounts of bioactive constituents in the medicinal plants are fairly low, that’s why it is very crucial to develop effective and selective methods for the extraction and isolation of those bioactive Constituents.

In 2015, DELASS decided to use its long experience in natural product to create its extraction unit; starting from cultivation till getting a high quality extract to be used in manufacturing of herbal medicine and most of used herbal plants are native to Jordan, and well known for their unique phytochemical properties.

Prior to extraction, all dried plants are checked for their identity, purity and content; taking into consideration the analysis of herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals, aflatoxins and radiation contamination, as well as the microbial

contaminations. All the dried plants are controlled based on pharmacopoeial requirements, therefore ensuring the quality of the raw materials used for the production of our extracts.

Our extracts are standardized, thus guaranteed to contain standardized level of active compounds. The level of active compounds remains consistent by stating the content of active compounds rather than the concentration ratio, allowing for more accurate dosage to be made.

Thyme standardized liquid extract.

Herbal substance: Dried Thyme.

It is the dried leaves and flowers of Thymus vulgaris, Thymus zygis (family: Lamiaceae) or both species, it is native to the Mediterranean region, and cultivated throughout the world for food, medical and cosmetic purposes. Thyme dried leaves contain essential oils and Phenols: Thymol and Carvacrol, monoterpenoids; Caffeic acid and Rosmarinic acid.

Delass Thyme liquid extract is a nonalcoholic extract, it is extracted from a material complies with the monograph of the European Pharmacopoeia, and the extract is standardized to contain known concentrations of Thymol, Carvacrol, and Rosmarinic Acid.

Thyme extract is with approved safety & efficacy and can be used as an active constituent for different herbal preparations such as cough and cold preparations as well as cosmetics and anti- septic preparations.

Ginger standardized liquid extract.

Herbal substance: Ginger Root (Rhizome).

It is the peeled fresh or dried Rhizome of Zingiber officinale (family Zingiberaceae), it is native to southern Asia, cultivated in almost tropical and sub-tropical areas, for food spices, medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Ginger rhizomes contain essential oils, pungent principles, oleoresins, and phenoles such as gingerols and their related dehydration products shogaols.

Delass Ginger liquid extract is a nonalcoholic extract, it is extracted from a material complies with the monograph of the European Pharmacopoeia, and the extract is standardized to contain known concentrations of Gingerols and Shogaols.

Eucalyptus standardized liquid extract.

Herbal substance: Eucalyptus dried leaf.

It is the dried leaves of the older trees of Eucalyptus globulus (Family L Myrtaceae), it is native to Australia, cultivated worldwide for medicinal purposes. Eucalyptus leaves contain essential oils; e.g. Eucalyptol, and Tannins; e.g. phenols.

Delass Eucalyptus liquid extract is a nonalcoholic extract, it is extracted from a material complies with the monograph of the European Pharmacopoeia, and the extract is standardized to contain known concentrations of total phenolic compounds.
